Dr. Conrad Kavalec graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University and completed a residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Toronto. He subsequently completed postgraduate training in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery and ophthalmic pediatrics at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Kavalec is the Chief Ophthalmologist at St. Mary’s Hospital Centre and an Assistant Professor at McGill University in the Department of Ophthalmology of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). He works as an ophthalmologist at the Montreal General Hospital, the Montreal Children’s Hospital and the Royal Victoria Hospital.
Dr Daniel Belliveau
A former president of the Association des médecins ophtalmologistes du Québec, he is now an active member of the Canadian Ophthalmological Society, the Canadian Society of Oculoplasty and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. In Montreal, Dr. Kavalec has been instrumental in making St. Mary’s Hospital a recognized cataract surgery center. Over 5,500 cases are treated each year using the latest techniques.
Dr. Kavalec performs oculoplastic surgery on pediatric and adult clients as well as cosmetic eyelid surgery at the Montreal Eye Institute. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the MUHC Department of Ophthalmology and participates in the training of ophthalmology residents.
